Nichrome 60 wire. You will receive it on a KP Coaster, NOT a whole spool.
Specifications:
- 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40 gauge available
- Sold in 3 foot segments, add a quantity of 1 for 3 feet, 2 for 6 feet, ect.
- Contains 60% Nickel, 16% Chromium and approx 24% iron.
Owner's note:
28 and 30 are awesome for single coil very low ohm regular size coils. If you want to be in the sub-ohm club, this is your wire.
32 is what I recommend to folks making their first coils for RBAs. It is easier to work with (both from being pliable and being easy to see).
38 gauge is a good choice if you are trying to do a high resistance smaller coil (i.e. rebuilding a Vivi Nova head), but make sure you have a magnifying lamp to work with because 38 awg wire is SMALL !
36, 38 and 40 are also useful if you are going to run dual coils on an RBA. The higher resistance means you can easily make two reasonably sized 6 ohm coils to run in parallel for 3ohms. It will make those of you with 2.5 and 2 amp limit devices much happier. :)
